ABOUT NSIDA

The Nova Scotia Interior Decorators' Association (NSIDA) is a collaboration of established and experienced decorating and design professionals advancing and fostering the decorating profession through knowledge based and hands-on opportunities with homeowners, builders, consumers, and suppliers.

Through ongoing training, education and professional development, members of NSIDA keep abreast of styles, trends, and forecasts. NSIDA members work to inspire through experiences and by being role models within the industry. Interior Decorators are trained by education and experience to work with consumers to create and develop functional and beautiful spaces.

NSIDA is managed by the membership through an elected Board of Directors and members agree to a Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. Each and every member agrees to perform to the highest standard of professionalism. Our members are graduates of recognized decorating programmes, and/or practicing professionals with decorating portfolios.

Members' compliance with our Code of Ethics ensures consistency in all our professional relationships and distinguishes members from the general public who practice within the decorating industry. The focus on ethics in our industry ensures the public interest is protected in terms of health and safety issues and financial matters.
